View a dramatic, near-total solar eclipse and learn the science behind this phenomenon in special planetarium shows, hands-on activities, and astronomy demonstrations. Safe viewing glasses are included with each admission!

11:00 AM - Arrive at Liberty Science Center and check in with us. We will be distributing wristbands for entrance to the center and tickets for the planetarium show for those who chose to purchase them. We will be wearing our blue Learning With Amigos shirts and will be standing right after security.

12:45 - Lunch in group cafeteria

1:35 PM - The Eclipse Show in the Planetarium (Purchase tickets for the planetarium show using that event on this date in the calendar.)

1:30 – 4:40 PM - NASA Eclipse Webcast: Free! During the actual hours of the April 8 solar eclipse, LSC Educators will provide commentary on live webcasts from NASA and other sites. Follow the total eclipse as it progresses from Mexico to New York State.

Important Trip Info:

Walk-ins will need to pay the walk-up rate of $27.99 per child and $32.99 per adult.

The admission prices listed above do not include the parking fee. The parking lot is owned by the state of New Jersey and operated by a private company. LSC does not receive parking revenue. The fee for cars and vans during the day is $7.00. The parking fee can be paid by cash or credit card at the kiosk in the lobby or by credit card at the ticket booths before exiting the lot.
