Additional Information

You will not want to miss this incredible opportunity! Astronaut Adventure is a 4-hour, drop-off program - available only to organizations - where children will learn about life on an International Space Station! Your little astronaut will complete hands-on labs that involve data collection and analysis on different materials, water filtration systems, and the ABC's of Chemistry (acids/bases). Children will also participate in a design challenge on a simulated spacecraft where they will view a launch with NASA footage, among other activities. No astronaut adventure is complete without an exploration of the solar system and constellations, which the "astronauts" will do through Buehler Challenger's StarLab (portable planetarium).  This programming is curriculum-based, and the "Commanders" that facilitate these excursions are certified teachers - who just happen to wear one-piece flight suits.

Students will be eating lunch at the center. If weather permits, they will eat in the outdoor picnic area. Please provide a brown bagged lunch with disposable items/drinks only.

Payment of $35 per child is due upon registration; a spot cannot be guaranteed without payment. Registration is required; no walk-ins will be accepted. To register and pay for this event, click on the "sign up now" link below. This excursion is for children ages 6-8 (1st and 2nd grade).
